Tap Remember on the home screen. Take a photo (or skip it), give the item a name you would search for later, then say or type where you are putting it. Plain language is enough — “hall cupboard, top shelf” works perfectly.
Search matches the item's name, its location, your notes and any aliases, and it forgives typos. Try the room instead of the object, or a word you would naturally use. The Memories tab lists everything you have saved if you would rather browse.
Check Settings → Placedly on your iPhone and make sure Microphone and Speech Recognition are allowed. Dictation is only ever an extra — every screen works by typing.
No. Choose I moved it and the previous location is kept in that item's history. If the move is only temporary, switch on Temporary move and Placedly remembers where it usually lives so you can send it back in one tap.
Open Settings and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it on. Pro is a one-off purchase, not a subscription, so there is nothing to renew.
With Pro, use Settings → Export backup to produce a file, then Import backup on the new device. Placedly has no cloud sync, so this is the way to carry your memories across.
Settings → Delete all memories clears the app permanently. Deleting the app removes all of its data too. Neither can be undone, so export a backup first if there is anything you want to keep.
